General Terms & Conditions:
Effective: 1st November 2026
These terms apply to event services provided by B-Alternative Pty Ltd, trading as We Are Ripple Projects (ABN: 54 605 752 476) ("Ripple Projects", "we", "us") including waste audits, waste education programs, signage design and consulting, to the client named in the quote ("Client", "you"). By accepting a quote, paying a deposit or otherwise confirming a booking, you agree to these terms.
1. How these terms apply
Each engagement is governed by the accepted quote and these terms. The quote sets the price and scope, and these terms apply to everything else. If they conflict, the quote prevails on price and scope. Quotes are provided obligation free and are valid for 30 days. All prices are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.
2. Payment terms
Unless your quote says otherwise, one of the following applies:
Deposit and balance:
20% deposit, due on acceptance of the quote
80% due within 7 days of completion of the service (or delivery of the final report, if applicable)
Single payment
100% due within 7 days of the invoice date
Late payment: Overdue amounts incur a late payment fee of 2% of the overdue amount per month (not compounded), plus our reasonable costs of recovering the debt.
Please pay by bank transfer and quote the invoice number as your payment reference. Bank details are on each invoice.
3. Cancellation and postponement
Cancellations must be confirmed in writing (email is fine). If the Client cancels a booked waste audit, a cancellation fee of 10% of the quoted price applies. We may also charge for non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred for the engagement. Any deposit paid above the cancellation fee and those costs will be refunded.
If the Client asks to reschedule, we will try to move the booking to a new date, subject to availability. Costs we have already incurred that cannot be reused remain payable.
4. Variations and additional costs
The quote describes the scope of the services. If the scope changes, we will confirm the change and any extra cost in writing (text, email or other) before proceeding, unless it is not practicable to do so. Additional hours, materials or travel beyond the quoted scope will be invoiced at the rates agreed in the quote.
5. Client Responsibilities
The Client is responsible for providing accurate information about the site, event or program, obtaining any venue approvals, providing safe access, and briefing relevant staff, vendors or participants. Delays or changes caused by the Client may result in additional costs.
6. Reports and intellectual property
Reports, resources and materials we create for the Client are provided for the Client's own use. Ripple Projects retains ownership of its methods, systems, templates, signage designs and branding, unless the quote says otherwise. The Client may share reports internally and with its stakeholders, and we ask that Ripple Projects is credited where results are published.
7. Media
Ripple Projects may list the Client's name on our website, social media and any media outlets we partner with. This includes use of images taken by the Ripple Projects photographer, in line with standard photography laws.
9. General
Work health and safety: Each party must comply with applicable work health and safety requirements. The Client must tell us about known site hazards, and we may refuse or suspend unsafe work.
Subcontractors: We may use contractors and other providers to deliver the services.
Force majeure: Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control. We will first try to postpone or modify the services. Costs we have already incurred that cannot reasonably be recovered or reused remain payable.
Changes to these terms: We may update these terms. The version in effect when your quote was accepted applies to that booking.
Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
